CARTIER AT PRAGUE CASTLE - POWER OF STYLE

From July 9th to October 17th, 2010, the Prague Castle Riding School plays host to Cartier at Prague Castle - The Power of Style.

This will be a unique event presenting the greatest
number of Cartier creations from the past ever assembled from the Cartier
Collection.

The evolution of a powerful style
This eagerly awaited exhibition explores and celebrates the true style of
Cartier, a style that is powerful, which means to say strong, evocative and
recognisable, and which is always accompanied by a notion of pleasure.
From decorative objects − clocks, sculptures, curios or objets de vertu –
to pieces of exquisite jewellery, it is a joy to be in the privileged company
of these pieces and their stories…This pleasure is enduring: made over 50
or 100 years ago, Cartier pieces are objects of desire forever.

The complete chronology of Cartier’s creativity
Cartier style is unique, everlasting, yet constantly evolving: it values
change, be it stylistic evolutions initiated by the designers themselves,
technical evolutions brought about by a continual combination of curiosity
and expertise, or shifts in tastes, which Cartier keenly observes. It is this
multi-faceted evolution that the Prague exhibition wishes to present.
With over 360 Cartier pieces on display, this major exhibition covers
Cartier’s entire creative history. It reveals the continuity between Cartier’s
different stylistic periods, resulting in a fascinating retrospective of the
company’s creativity that extends back over 160 years.
